Cluj -Napoca, Heart of Transilvania, protected by the Carpatian mountains and Economical center of Romania.  Easily accesible from other cultural cities like Sibiu, Oradea, Baie-Mare, Satu-Mare, Arad, Timisoara and others.The City has his proudness with a cultural and historical background, entertainment like outdoor swimmingpools and 2 giant Shooping Malls with loads of bars and restaurants. And of course a beautifull nightlife with spectacular sightseeings at night.

It is easily accessible by an international Airports situated only 2km away from the dropzone and there is a variety of Hotels and accomodations in the neighbourhood.  The International airport is daily served by several airlines (Carpatair, Lufthansa, Austrian and lowcosts like Wizzair) destinations from all over europe.

The local people are super enthousiastic to welcome you. Their wonderfull traditions which are still exciting creates a special atmosphere but they are also well advanced and well speaking english (or german) compared with other east european countries.

Cluj Napoca is more than just an old city founded by Romans.  

It's a place you would neer leave.  The famous Iuiu Maniu Street, connecting Orthodox and Catholicism with its two churches standing at each end.  You have the lake of Chios right in the citycentre near the Big Park, full off students as Cluj is very know as a University city.  Cluj means also lots of cafeterias in the downtown, with clubs and discos opened in the attics and basements together with lots of bars and disco clubs in the campus sites.  Also very famous in Cluj is the operabuilding with all year round performances and other culture events.  Probably the most famous event of the year is the International Film Festival which brings students together just prior their exams.  "Seven Streets" one of the world's largest crossroads.

"Servus" or... Hi visitor as they salute here in Cluj !  If you want to discover the city of Cluj, you should start it from the history. You see it everywhere, because unlike other cities, Cluj has managed to preserve its past very well.  What we have inherited from the Romans?  First and foremost, some old city foundations that visitors can admire next to the statue of Matei Corvin.  Than a whole collection of archaeological vestiges gathered at the History Museum of Transylvania, which are not limited to the Roman time only. 

At Turda entrance, you will meet Baba Novac, Chieftain in the army of Michael the Brave, who guards the Tower of Tailors. In 1601 he has burnt right here by the Hungarians.

The Tower of the Tailors'Guild is one of the few monuments that used to be also part of the Old City of Cluj and have remained intact to this day.  It was financed by the Tailors'Guild : Tailors, shoemakers, carmenters, soap-makers, wheelwrights, pot-makers, masons, beltmakers, etc. Other tips : Botanical garden, countryside, Shoppingmalls, ...
